J. Laurence photoCOBRE-PSF member and KU associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry Jennifer Laurence has founded the biotechnology company Echogen, Inc. Laurence also serves as chief scientific officer for the company, which markets a novel MAP Tag technology for targeted metal delivery for diagnostics and treatment of a significant range of diseases by providing a unique way to irreversibly bind metals to proteins.
